Quick turnaround time! Being sent home today with elementary students! There will be forms in the office for JH/HS!

Today, Kindergarten investigated a pumpkin. We had to decide if it was big or small. Or whether it was rough, bumpy or smooth. We measured it with blocks. Attempted to count the seeds(there were a lot!). We counted the ribs. Then the best part was seeing if it would sink or float!

The CIA Trunk or Treat is this Thursday! If you are planning to have a trunk open, you may begin setting up at 5:30 in the staff parking lot. We can’t wait to see everyone!

Mrs. Hoots’ 4th graders had a design a gnome contest, and LuElla’s design won. The elementary teachers voted on the design winner, and Mrs. Barnett, the art teacher, painted the gnome with the winning design.

Mrs. Hoots’ 4th graders used the classroom incubator to hatch 9 chicks and got to learn about a chicken’s growth cycle. They also earned a P.J. & stuffed animal day for meeting their AR class goal of 160 points to end the week!

1st Grade enjoyed learning about apples in September! They studied the life cycle of an apple tree, labeled the parts of an apple, went on a virtual field trip to an apple orchard, enjoyed taste testing apples, and finished the unit by making applesauce!
