Kindergarten - Donuts with a Grown Up Friday! Thank you Bluffs CIA for hosting this monthly event!

5th grade competing in the Jacksonville Journal Courier Geography Bowl.

The first graders have enjoyed learning about pumpkins these past several weeks. They learned about the life cycle of a pumpkin, took a virtual field trip to a pumpkin patch, and enjoyed making pumpkin pie in a bag!

Current West Central Basketball player, Braylee Littig, is volunteering to help the Journey Like June Foundation this holiday season and promote their Christmas toy drive which benefits those children at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. When Braylee's journey began in Springfield last December, she was fortunate enough to be part of this program while she was in the hospital. Being in the hospital is super difficult during the holidays so Braylee wants to give back to this effort.
We will be accepting toys at the West Central vs. Porta game on Tuesday, November 25th!

Quick turnaround time! Being sent home today with elementary students! There will be forms in the office for JH/HS!

Today, Kindergarten investigated a pumpkin. We had to decide if it was big or small. Or whether it was rough, bumpy or smooth. We measured it with blocks. Attempted to count the seeds(there were a lot!). We counted the ribs. Then the best part was seeing if it would sink or float!

The CIA Trunk or Treat is this Thursday! If you are planning to have a trunk open, you may begin setting up at 5:30 in the staff parking lot. We can’t wait to see everyone!

Mrs. Hoots’ 4th graders had a design a gnome contest, and LuElla’s design won. The elementary teachers voted on the design winner, and Mrs. Barnett, the art teacher, painted the gnome with the winning design.
